Every morning at 7:15…
the same dog sat at the same bus stop.
Rain.
Snow.
Summer heat.
He never missed a day.
At first people thought he belonged to someone nearby.
But days turned into months.
Months turned into years.
And the dog was always there.
Sitting.
Watching the road.
Waiting.
One morning a bus driver finally asked the old woman who lived nearby.
“Why does that dog sit here every day?”
The woman sighed.
“Because six years ago his owner got on that bus…”
“And never came back.”
People started leaving food and water for the dog.
