The church was packed.
Family members smiled,
the music played,
and the bride slowly walked down the aisle.
Everything was perfect.
Until she suddenly stopped.
Her smile vanished.
She stared toward the back row
and refused to take another step.
Guests turned to see what had caught her attention.
Standing alone near the entrance
was a young boy nobody seemed to recognize.
The bride’s hands began to shake.
Tears filled her eyes.
Then she whispered four words that left the entire church speechless.
“I thought he was…”
Before she could finish,
she lifted her dress and ran toward the child.
The groom stood frozen.
Nobody understood what was happening.
PART 2 IN COMMENT
As the bride reached the boy, she dropped to her knees and hugged him tightly.
The church sat in stunned silence.
Years earlier, while volunteering at a children’s shelter, she had formed a special bond with him.
Then one day, he was transferred to another facility, and she lost all contact.
She spent years trying to find him but never succeeded.
Unknown to her, the groom had spent months searching.
He finally located the boy and arranged for him to attend the wedding as a surprise.
The child had traveled hundreds of miles just to be there.
As tears filled the bride’s eyes, the groom walked over and smiled.
“There was one guest I knew you would never want to miss,” he said.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the church.
Sometimes the most unforgettable wedding gift isn’t something money can buy.
