Every morning,
tourists came to the jungle viewpoint.
And every morning…
a giant gorilla was already there.
Sitting still.
Watching them.
Never aggressive.
Never leaving.
For months…
it became part of the routine.
Then one day,
the gorilla didn’t show up.
The ranger went to check the area.
And what he found inside the forest…
made him step back in shock.

For several months, a large silverback gorilla appeared every morning at the same jungle viewpoint in a protected reserve.
Tourists found it unsettling at first.
But the animal never showed aggression.
It simply sat at a distance, observing the area and the people who arrived.
Rangers monitored the situation closely, expecting it to eventually leave.
But it never did.
Then one morning, it was gone.
No sign at the viewpoint. No movement in the trees.
Concerned, a ranger followed its usual path deeper into the forest.
After nearly an hour, he found the gorilla lying still beneath a large fallen tree.
It was injured and unable to move properly.
But it wasn’t alone.
Near its hand was a small, old tourist wristband.
Records later revealed that years earlier, a conservation worker had helped raise and rehabilitate a young gorilla after it was found injured near that same viewpoint.
After recovery, it was released back into the wild.
That worker used to bring tourists to that exact spot every morning.
The gorilla had returned there every day since release.
Not for food.
But to sit where it last saw the only human it trusted.
When the ranger carefully helped it recover that day, the gorilla eventually stood again.
And the next morning…
it returned to the viewpoint.
