Every morning at 6:15, the little boy sat alone by the ocean.
Same spot.
Same blue hoodie.

Same old photograph in his hands.
The fishermen all knew him, but nobody ever asked questions.
Until this morning.
A huge storm rolled in overnight, and something washed onto the shore beside him.
It was a glass bottle.
Inside was a letter with his mother’s name on it.
The mother who disappeared at sea 8 years ago.
When he opened the letter…
he immediately started crying.
Part 2 in comments.
The boy opened the bottle with shaking hands.
Inside was a faded letter covered in seawater.
The first line made him freeze.
“My sweet boy… if this letter reaches you, it means the ocean finally brought me home.”
His mother had written it the night the storm took her boat.
She explained that she never abandoned him.
The crew got stranded after the engine failed, and for days she kept writing letters hoping one would survive the sea.
At the very end, one sentence was underlined three times:
“I waited for you every sunrise too.”
The little boy sat there crying as the waves hit the shore.
Because for 8 years…
he thought she forgot him.
