THE HIKER WHO FOLLOWED THEM BACK

A group of hikers meets a lone man on a mountain trail. He says he’s lost.

They let him walk with them back to the cabin.

He stays quiet the whole way.

But when they arrive, he’s not at the cabin with them.

Yet footprints behind them never stopped.

PART 2 IN COMMENT

That night, they check the forest from the porch.

Nothing there.

But every time they turn back inside, something small changes—chairs moved, doors slightly open, items rearranged.

One friend whispers: “What if he already came inside?”

Then they hear footsteps upstairs.

Slow.

Following the same path they took earlier.

Except… no one went upstairs.
