A family moves into an old wooden house near the edge of a mountain forest. They bring their dog, Max—a calm, loyal golden retriever.
At first, everything feels normal.
But on the second night, Max refuses to sleep. He sits in the hallway, staring at one specific wall.
Not barking. Not moving. Just staring.
Then he starts whining softly.
Like he’s scared of something behind it.
PART 2 IN COMMENT
The family checks the wall—nothing there. Solid wood. No doors, no gaps.
But Max keeps staring at the exact same spot, even growling now.
That night, scratching sounds begin from inside the wall.
Slow. Careful. Like nails dragging through wood.
Max stands in front of it, shaking, but doesn’t run away.
Instead, he places his paws on the wall and starts barking—loud, desperate, like he’s warning something inside not to come out.
Then the scratching stops.
And something on the other side quietly scratches back… right where Max is standing.
