At first, people thought the dog was trying to attack the firefighters.
The German Shepherd kept throwing himself toward the burning house while flames exploded through the windows.

The firefighter immediately rushed into the burning house after the dog.
Smoke filled every room.
Visibility was nearly zero.

he saw the German Shepherd.
Curled protectively around a little girl beneath a collapsed kitchen table.
Terrified.
Crying.
Alive.
The dog barked loudly the moment the firefighter approached, almost like he was guiding him through the smoke.
Rescuers later discovered the child had hidden during the fire after becoming trapped upstairs while her mother was at work.
Neighbors believed the family dog escaped safely when the fire began.
