Every morning, a stray dog appeared outside the school gate.
No one knew where he came from.
He never barked, never begged, just sat quietly watching every student enter.
Some kids tried to chase him away.
But he always returned the next day.
One rainy morning, a small child slipped while crossing the road near the gate.
A speeding car didn’t notice.
The dog suddenly stood up.
And ran straight toward the child in the middle of the road.

The dog jumped into the road and pushed the child out of danger just before the car passed inches away.
The impact scared everyone nearby.
Teachers rushed outside, grabbing the child and checking for injuries.
The dog was lying near the curb, hurt but still watching the school gate.
An ambulance was called immediately.
But before they could take him away, the dog slowly stood up and walked back to his usual spot.
The next morning, he was gone.
But on the school gate, someone placed a small sign:
“The one who watched over us every day… and saved one of our own.”
