The harbor had to close.
Not because of a storm.
Not because of a ship.
Because of one dolphin.
It circled the harbor entrance.
Hour after hour.
Blocking every boat.
Whenever someone tried to approach…
it swam away.
Only to return again.
The coast guard arrived.
Nobody understood what the animal wanted.
Then a diver went underwater.
He surfaced less than a minute later.
And shouted:
“Nobody moves the boats!”

A discarded fishing rope had become wrapped around a sea turtle beneath the surface.
The exhausted turtle had drifted into the harbor entrance.
The dolphin repeatedly swam circles around it, driving boats away.
Marine rescuers carefully freed the turtle.
The dolphin remained nearby the entire time.
When the turtle finally swam away, the dolphin followed for several moments…
then disappeared into open water.
Harbor workers later admitted they had never seen anything like it.
But from that day on, they always looked twice before dismissing unusual animal behavior.
