An old man…
ordered only
a cup of coffee.
He sat there
for hours.
When it was time
to pay…
he smiled
and said,
“I forgot
my wallet.”
The waitress
paid the bill
herself.
As he stood up…
he quietly left
a folded napkin
under the cup.
She opened it…
and couldn’t believe
what was inside.

was the deed to a small lakeside cabin.
