Every afternoon,
a little girl stopped in front of the same abandoned house.
She smiled.
And waved.
No one was ever there.
Her mother thought it was just a game.
Until one rainy evening…
the girl refused to leave.

“He’s waving back today.”

A few weeks later, the old man returned home from the hospital.
Every afternoon, two people could be seen waving from opposite sides of the street.
And neither of them ever missed a day.
